VERTICAL FORM FILL SEAL
BPS-INC has 15 vertical form fill seal production lines. Many of the units can run both standard or water soluble films. Several of the units are designed to run multiple lane four-sided seal packages targeted at unit dose and consumer markets.
Traditionally BPS-INC’s business involved placing agricultural products into water soluble packages made from Poly Vinyl Alcohol film. BPS-INC produces PVA packages this way for virtually all of the major agricultural chemical companies. Facilities are segregated by building and site into Non-Herbicide, Conventional Application Herbicide and High Activity Herbicides.
In recent years BPS-INC has expanded production to include an assortment of industrial chemicals, soaps, tablets, water treatment compounds, dyes, home and garden products, holding tank deodorants and live bacterial cultures. These products are packaged into a broad assortment of water soluble and other types of flexible packaging films.
Packages produced on the VFFS equipment range in size from ½ gram to 30 lbs. Packaging film utilized includes water soluble Poly Vinyl Alcohol and a broad selection of traditional laminated films.
Package types include pillow style and four-side-seal. (FSS) Four-side-seal machine can be run multiple lane and have been utilized to package different products in attached packages simultaneously.
The feeding equipment on the VFFS is flexible and can be utilized to blend products while filling bags, a life saver when mixtures of products of differing bulk densities are desired in the same pouch, or even to fill attached pouches with liquid on one side and solid on the other.
